The Beatles on iTunes – not yet

The Beatles on iTunes - not yet

If you have been waiting for the Beatles to be released as part of the iTunes catalog, you need to wait some more. Yoko Ono recently made it clear that there was a long wait to go before the Beatles collection would find its way on to iTunes.

The three big players in this drawn-out digital music drama are Apple Corps., the Beatles' record label; music giant EMI; and Apple, the computer company (not, of course, to be confused with Apple Corps., with which Steve Jobs and crew tangled over the "Apple" name before reaching a settlement in 2007).

Many fans seem to be waiting for October 9th, John Lennon's 70 birthday, believing that this will be the magical day, but, it is highly unlikely to happen. While Yoko Ono talks only about Apple, it should be remembered that there are lots of other avenues to get The Beatles digital tunes. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long.
